    La luna coperta


    Ho visto una saetta impigliarsi tra
    siepi di nubi, la luna che
    tentava di aprirsi un varco tra quella
    baraonda di nembi e cumuli e ammassi
    di nuvole; non ci riusciva,
    tentava da un'altra parte, subito
    accorreva un altro cumulo nembo
    a tapparla nella sua tana.
    Uno schiocco forte improvviso diede
    Inizio alla pioggia, scrosci ispessiti
    e radi copiosi e stantii. Era tutto
    un correre a destra e a manca a salvare
    i banchetti che restavano aperti
    tutta la notte. Qualcheduno stava
    in piedi dondolante, altri erano
    crollati e giacevano in un mucchio
    di roba zuppa bagnata. D'un tratto
    la luna riuscì a passare per quell'ammucchiata
    di nubi e a sistemarsi bella linda
    tonda nel cielo; più morbida
    ed evanescente, più tonda e bella
    brillava nell'acqua del fiume,
    dove un rapido vapore passando,
    la sbrindellò.
